Product Testing and Certifications
Part of the role for a Research and Technologies department is to be able to offer and commission the highest quality testing available. The following list of tests are part of a regular battery of tests performed during the pre and post production phases of the product development.
Stability Tests (ISO 6330)
The stability tests ensures that all the technologies and products are strong enough to undergo exposure to a number of different environments. The tests performed are up to international ISO standards.
FTIR test
Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) offers a unique high definition analysis for for all type of materials analysed. FTIR identifies chemical bonds in a molecule by producing an infrared absorption spectrum. The results of such testing are then digitally modelled in order to contribute to new technologies.
Anti-Bacterial test
The anti bacterial tests help in identifying bacteria that still find ways of living in natural fibres. Even if material like silk is a natural anti bacterial, such studies also serve as an input to a number of ongoing research projects within the biomaterials sector.
Fiber Micro – Composition test
The structure of each fibre is carefully observed and analysed through “microscopic analysis” in order to carefully understand and optimize all the products and technologies that are looked at.
